Women's History Month 2026

“Unruly witnesses” suggests disruptive truth-telling, while “calling in” emphasizes dialogue. Promoting the 2026 WHM requires a design that can hold the energies of two different approaches to social change. 

I addressed this balancing act by centering the poster around a figure whose action can be interpreted both as speaking up and bringing others in. The raised arm signifies calling out, while the converging distinct birds — invoking the imagery of migration — show people from different backgrounds gathering for collective action. Bold bright colors reinforce the sense of urgency and high collective energy shared by both activism approaches.
